Go in-depth with our Excel cross-tab report
If you want to drill down deeper into our survey data, check out our cross-tab report. This Excel spreadsheet lets you tailor the responses to our survey to your specific needs. The cross-tab feature, for example, lets you see how much hospitalists working in the Northeast make compared to hospitalists in the South. You can also use the cross-tab feature to compare how many patient encounters hospitalists working for hospital corporations report compared to hospitalists who work for national management companies. We’ve cross-tabbed most of our survey responses so you can drill down and get data that more closely match the details of your group. Program directors, practice administrators and employers can use this tool to benchmark hospitalist compensation and productivity.
Find average compensation for academic hospitalists, nonacademic hospitalists, program directors, pediatric hospitalists, nocturnists and more. Plus, delve into a range of compensation attributes, such as pay differentials for program directors, hourly and extra shift rates, bonus and incentive pay, and performance metrics to name a few.
Cross-tab productivity data such as patient load or ICU work with hospital size, work schedule, employer type, region and more to get a picture of productivity among practices like yours.
Scheduling and work patterns
Look at hours worked, schedules, staffing levels, turnover, growth, shift length, changes to schedule and more.
Because the Today’s Hospitalist survey is completed by individual hospitalists (not program managers), we offer insights into hospitalist career satisfaction and what hospitalists consider a reasonable patient load.
The report includes hospitalist demographics such as specialty training in, age, years of employment and gender. It also reports on hospital size, employer type and other practice demographics.
