As the nation’s largest dedicated OB/GYN hospitalist provider, Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG) is constantly recruiting across the U.S. OBHG’s mission is to elevate the quality of obstetric care by providing in-house, board-certified OB/GYN physician support to partner hospitals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. OBHG operates programs in 26 states, with more locations being added each month.
Employment model: OBHG directly employs both part-time and full-time OB/GYN physicians and certified nurse-midwives.
Services: OBHG physicians provide real-time triage and hospital-based obstetric coverage, emergent care for high-risk pregnancies, and care for unassigned maternity patients and private patients whose physicians have turned over their care via obstetric service agreements. They also provide onsite OB/GYN consultation and surgical assists as needed.
Schedule and coverage: Most OBHG physicians work between 7 and 9 24-hour shifts per 28-day block.
Compensation: OBHG hospitalists are well-paid and enjoy fully funded medical malpractice coverage, flexible, predictable work schedules for optimal work-life balance, as well as access to health and dental insurance and robust retirement plans.
Company highlights: Because they are free of private practice overhead and management obligations, OBHG physicians are able to focus solely on OB medicine and enjoy more time off for family, hobbies and travel.
