Services: Hospitalists provide core services, including ED coverage, subspecialty consultations, preoperative evaluations and ICU coverage. BayCare covers more than 45 medical subspecialties, including cardiovascular, neurology, endocrinology, oncology and pediatrics.
Schedule and coverage: Hospitalists typically work a seven-on/seven-off schedule with nocturnist coverage. Schedules vary according to assignment and facility.
